From the polished concrete floors of New York's premier home and gift show, our minimal display came to life — delicate gold chains suspended against crisp linen, each piece thoughtfully arranged to tell our story of conscious craftsmanship. Olive branches cast gentle shadows across the booth, creating an organic harmony with our handcrafted collections.
The days were beautifully intense. Each morning began with careful adjustments to displays, ensuring every necklace caught the light just so, every earring positioned to invite closer inspection. Hours flowed into one another as I connected with buyers and retailers, sharing not just our pieces but the intention and craftsmanship behind each design. These conversations, though numerous, never felt repetitive — each one brought fresh perspectives and exciting possibilities for our Denver-made collections.
But it was the moments between appointments that filled my cup the most. Trading stories with fellow makers, both old friends and new, reminded me why I love this community so deeply. Late-night dinners after long days on our feet turned into rich discussions about craft, creativity, and the journey of building something meaningful. There's something special about being surrounded by others who understand the precise joy of creating with their hands.
After days of conversations, connections, and the particular exhaustion that comes from being fully present, I'm already looking forward to returning in August. Yes, my feet are still recovering and my voice is a bit hoarse, but my spirit is energized. This is what it's all about — being part of a community that values craftsmanship, authenticity, and the beauty of handmade.
These shows remind me that while I may work alone in my studio most days, I'm part of something larger. A community of makers and creators, each bringing their unique vision to life. It's this connection, this sharing of space and stories with fellow artisans and enthusiastic retailers, that makes all the preparation and long days worthwhile.
Back in my Denver studio now, inspired and grateful, already dreaming up new pieces for August.
