What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is custom-fit and welded directly onto you without a clasp. It's a low-maintenance, stylish piece meant to be lived in—symbolic, personal, and designed to stay with you.
Does it hurt?
Not at all. The welding process is quick and completely painless. The flash you see is just light—no heat or discomfort is felt.
What materials do you use?
We offer high-quality gold-filled chains. We do not offer sterling silver or plated metals for this service.
How much does it cost?
Chain prices are based on metal type and style, chosen at your appointment.

Is there a fee to book an appointment?
Yes, we charge $25 per person to reserve your spot. Each person must book a 30-minute time slot. This is applied towards your weld.
What if I need to remove it?
No problem! If you need to remove your jewelry (for medical reasons or personal preference), simply snip it at the jump ring with scissors. We’re happy to re-weld it later for a small fee.
What if it breaks?
If your chain separates at the original welded joint, we offer one complimentary re-weld within 14 days of your appointment.
I bought a bracelet from SMJ before, can you just weld that one on me?
We’re so glad you love your piece! However, all permanent jewelry must be made using brand-new, unworn chain selected in person from our permanent collection. We don’t weld previously purchased or clasped pieces — even if they were originally bought from us — to ensure a clean, secure weld and a consistent experience for every client. Thank you for understanding and supporting our New Weld Only policy.
Can I bring a friend and book together?
Yes! Just make sure each person books their own time slot so we can give everyone the time and attention they need.
Is it safe to wear all the time?
Yes—your permanent jewelry is designed to stay on through daily activities, including showering, sleeping, and exercise. Just avoid exposing gold fill to harsh chemicals (like chlorine or certain skincare products) to keep it looking its best.
Do you offer permanent jewelry for kids?
Yes, with a few guidelines. We offer permanent jewelry for clients ages 10–17 with the presence and consent of a parent or legal guardian. For younger children, we recommend clasped versions that can be adjusted over time—available upon request.
Can I host a private event or party?
Absolutely. We offer pop-ups and private welding experiences for events, bridal parties, and store collaborations. Email us to inquire at hello@sheenamarshall.com
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
We get it — plans change! Your booking fee will be fully refunded as long as you cancel at least 48 hours (2 full days) before your appointment. Since we schedule around each session, cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable. Thank you for understanding and valuing our time.
